Blue tongue lizard
I’m restarting my blog at new location here: http://mybackyard.info/mybackyard/
This last post contains some rediscovered photos and video of a mother blue tongue lizard and her 2 babies who took up residence in our garden shed back in 2012.
Eastern Blue Tongue Lizard
Scientific Name: Tiliqua scincoides
Beautiful markings on mum’s back.
Baby Bluey – I’ve read that around 10 young is the usual number born but we only found 2 in and around the shed.
Blue tongues are omnivores, eating plant material, insects and snails and slugs. I can attest to the gusto with which they devour a snail having hand feed a backyard blue tongue in the past.
Look for the famous blue tongue
